One embodiment of the invention
deals with optical switching through micro-mirrors based on magnetic circuits.
Another embodiment of the device makes the simultaneous use of liquid crystal
and micro-mirrors for switching. Yet another embodiment makes use of successive
refraction and reflection under varying refractive indices for switching.
